Adelaide's Senior group won 1 of the 4 one-day games against University in Round 4, whilst our Juniors continued on their merry way with 3 out of 4 wins against Northern Districts.
The 'Firsts' had a day to forget, bowling first (as with all Senior sides as it turned out) and falling well short of Uni's big target, with no-one getting a score to speak of. At the 'Seconds', it was a remarkably similar story but George Heliotis and Brad Dingle made 40's to apply a little heat to the batsmen above.
Park 23 saw the '4ths' fall short of University's target of 257, with the guys delighted to see popular Nick Oag make a personal best 75 at the top of the order.
Comfortably the story of the Senior day was a very strong team performance from our 'Thirds' who expertly accounted for a previously unbeaten Uni outfit with some tight team bowling and clinical batting. Sam Powell (5/37 off 9) and Kane Holman (3/5 off 8) took the chocolates, with help particularly from Brad Fallon (1/15 off 10) and Trent Riddle (0/18 off 8). Captain Anthony Cormack made 48 not out to lead the 100 run chase.
Our Under 16 Red team chased them down with Aryan Sareen (50 n.o.) and Declan Bayly (33 n.o.) getting the job finished. Jordan Steer led the 16W win with 3/7 off 7 overs and 33 not out.
Mineth Heenkende (4/29) and Tyson Miller (41) were the stars of the show in our Under 14R's win against Northern's, whilst James McPhee (26 n.o.) was last man standing in our close Under 14 Whites run chase after Riley Thilthorpe made 39 earlier.
East Torrens are our next opponent in all regular grades.
